Three Weeks Old

- 10/3 the ring from his circumcision fell off today
- his umbilical cord still hasn't fallen off
- he is much more alert, especially in the day - sleeping less in the morning, but still taking long naps in afternoon
- he going to bed around 10:30 PM and sleeping until 1 or 2 AM, then sleeping until 4 or 5 AM, and then until 9ish
- he is holding his head up really well
- he is using legs a lot more to push against things
- Mommy cut out milk from her diet (including cheese, yogurt, butter, and yes, even chocolate) and he seems to be much less gassy and much happier
- 10/7 he was 10 lbs 13.5 oz, 22 7/8" long. The physician's assistant saw him because he's still has jaundice. His blood was drawn and his bilirubin count has gone down from a 12 at two weeks, to a 9, so they determined that he has breast milk jaundice (which big sister, Mattie, had too). So he'll be looking a little tan longer than expected (1-2 months) but it's nothing to be concerned about.
Also, the fact that his umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet is no concern until he reaches one month old.
- 10/8 he took his first trip to Bellevue to see Gramma and Papa...and slept the whole way :)
