Two weeks old
Weight: 10 lbs 4 oz (90th percentile)
Length: 22" (91st percentile)
Head: 14 5/8" (51st percentile)
- at 10 days old his stats were: weight 10 lbs 3 oz, length 21 7/8", head 14 1/2"
- he also got circumcised at 10 days old. He was a champ and slept through most of the procedure. However, a few days later, Mommy and Daddy were a little concerned when he had some swelling. It was probably just an indication that the ring was ready to fall off though, because just a couple of days later and the ring finally fell off.
- he started getting pretty bad gas pains, which makes him very uncomfortable when he's awake :(
- at his two week check-up, his pediatrician dubbed him a "snacker" since he likes to just eat for 5-10 minutes at a time (but then wants to eat every hour). Dr. Jantzen suggested burping him after he's finished and then offering him more. That's been working about half the time (epsecially since there must be some sleeping agent in Mommy's milk because he falls asleep eating almost every time :).
- he has gone from waking up three times a night to just two times a night
- he is sleeping less during the day making him much more alert, and he's making more eye contact
