Tuesday September 13 - Monday September 19
- 9/13 Today was the most successful day we have had with Mattie and her potty-training. She actually went poop on the potty 4 times! She finally earned her doggy (we bought her a little stuffed doggy at Target last week and told her she could have it after she went poop on the toilet 3 times in hopes that it would motivate her). Unfortunately, she had the runs, but I think that actually helped her recognize it more and not want to go in her undies. Yea!
- Speaking of Mattie and the runs, I think she was sick this week. That night (after all the great pooping on the toilet), she woke up crying around midnight just saying "owie." We didn't know what hurt and eventually just gave her some Tylenol after she calmed down (which was after getting a drink and watching The Wiggles), and she went back to sleep. However, the next day she woke up and started drinking water. Then 30 minutes later she started complaining again saying "owie," I think about her belly, and then sure enough, she "choked," as she called it...she threw up 3 times in a row, all that water. Her belly was pretty much empty so it was basically just water, but that poor thing. And she continued to have a little bit of the runs throughout the day too. Kids are funny because after she threw-up, she felt fine and spent the rest of the day eating and playing, like nothing had happened. I think she had the flu, but if had been an adult who had the flu (ehem, me), they (I) would have been lying on the couch moaning and groaning all day.
- All I've wanted all week was to have the baby. I'd been praying for it and everything. But once Mattie was sick I started thinking about how awful that would be to have to leave her with someone, for both of them and for me too. So I immediately started praying that Mattie would get better fast and that I wouldn't have the baby until she was ok. And of course, everything turned out fine.
- I just have to write down that CJ calls a hula-hoop a "hoop-a-loop." I love it! :)
Happy Monday!
