Wednesday November 23rd - Sunday November 27th
We left Tuesday afternoon and caravanned with Bryce's family down to Boise, spent the night, and made the rest of the trip to Utah Wednesday morning, all so we could be in Utah for Thanksgiving this year. It's a long trip but totally worth it!
11/23 Powell meeting his cousin, Samantha, for the first time
11/24 These two cousins are only two months apart in age and they are quickly becoming best friends
11/24 Powell on his first Thanksgiving. Seems pretty happy about it :)
11/24 CJ and his cousins, Jonathan and Abram, playing the classic game, Mouse Trap. (This is a great pic because you can see almost all the little cousins that were there. Mattie and Kenya are in the background and Powell is on Daddy's lap. We're just missing Sammy)
11/24 Sammy and Mattie decided to watch a movie while they were waiting for Thanksgiving dinner
11/24 The kids table: Mattie, CJ, Abram, and Sammy
11/24 Forsgren Thanksgiving (top clockwise): Tom, Connor, Nicholas, Brent, Nathan, Madhav, Courtney, Norine (Mom), Kenya, Jonathan, Katie, Melanie, and Bryce (Paige took the pic)
11/24 Sweet Thanksgiving girls
11/24 After dinner, we had to play some Just Dance. Kenya was the expert and schooled us all! First it was the grandkids. Grandma even joined in!
11/24 The ladies went next, but of course, no pics were taken. Then the guys stepped up. They can all really move!
11/25 After a day of Black Friday shopping with her sister-in-law, Katie, Paige managed to muster up the energy to go see the lights at Temple Square with Bryce's family. Powell was her little heater and kept her warm the entire time :)
11/25 After stopping to see Bryce's Grandma Mackay in the hospital (she experienced some unexpected health problems on Thanksgiving and spent a few days in the hospital as a result), and getting some grub at Costa Vida, we managed to spend all of 30 minutes outside in the freezing cold at Temple Square. Oh well - it was enough for us :)
11/25 The best part of the night for Mattie was when Papa helped her pet the horse from the carriage that goes around the block of Temple Square
11/25 Oh, who's that, you ask? David Archuletta! Well it was craziness at Deseret Book across the street from Temple Square and it was because this young man was signing books (we grabbed a quick shot as we walked by)
11/26 Saturday was a crazy day with Powell's blessing in the morning and then family pictures in the afternoon. But CJ and Mattie managed to squeeze in some time for tea with their cousins, Abram and Samantha
11/26 Twinners! Ever since they were just babies, we've gotten these two matching outfits whenever we come into town. We'll keep it up as long as they let us!
11/26 Grandma is loved for reading to the kids, but Mattie was so tuckered out from a fun holiday weekend that she couldn't make it through the story :)
11/27 Roadtrip! Heading back to Wenatchee
Happy Thanksgiving!

What wonderful pictures! It was a big holiday trip for you guys. I especially loved the pictures of Mattie and Samantha. You might think that they don't look alike, one with beautiful blue eyes and flaxen hair, the other with beautiful brown eyes and brown hair, but they do! Look at their noses and the shape of their eyes. They do!
P.S. Also they both have such WIDE set eyes. Forgot to mention that. :)
