NOVEMBER 2011

11/1 We were at Papa and Gramma's house for a couple of days at Halloween. The day after Halloween, Zack wasn't feeling well so Mattie stayed with him and they listened to Primary songs on Gramma's phone

11/1 Halloween was a busy day, so Gramma and Papa made homemade root beer the next day. The kids loved the smoke from the dry ice and it was pretty tasty stuff

11/1 Mattie, CJ, and Powell all set to head back to Wenatchee from Papa and Gramma's house (not without injury...look at Mattie's thumb)

11/2 We left to head back to Wenatchee the day after Halloween. Before we left we had dinner and while the adults were talking in the dining room, the kids were up in the front room playing. Suddenly we heard something break and Mattie started crying. Turns out Mattie was playing with some ceramic pumpkins and was making them "walk" a little too hard and one broke, cutting her thumb pretty deeply. But she was a tough girl and only cried for a few minutes, despite lots of blood.

11/4 Look how adorable the Mackay kids are! We love them so much!

11/10 Mattie likes to wear Mommy's shoes...but she always goes for the practical ones - boots and slippers. No heels for this girl :)

11/11 Bryce and Paige attended a black tie gala with Bryce's firm for the hospital and medical clinic. It was their first night out since Powell was born

11/12 Classic Mattie. When she can't sleep, she gets out of bed and sets up camp in the doorway. Maybe we should get her a night light...:)

11/16 The first snow of the season and CJ and Mattie couldn't wait to get out there and play. We weren't totally prepared for it, hence the rain boots to play in

11/16 You could tell these kids hadn't spent much time in the snow when Mommy had to show them how to make a snowball

11/16 Mattie LOVES horses. Mattie HATES going poop. We're hoping we can use one to help with the other. She was ecstatic to get these horses after she went poop on the toilet. What's not pictured is how upset she was when we took them away later that night after she pooped again but in her pants. Ugh. It's been a long process.

11/19 These two tried to sneak outside like this to play :)

11/28 Powell's first time in the bumbo chair. He's always trying to sit up/forward, so he was really diggin' it. And as is usually the case, if Powell is up and happy, CJ is somewhere nearby (so cute!)
