VEGAS, BABY!

Bryce and Paige have been married for FIVE years! Can you believe it?! A lot has happened in those five years, but what has not happened a lot is us getting some alone time...so off we flew to Vegas for the weekend to catch a show, see some friends, and reconnect with each other. Las Vegas is not our favorite place - you can feel the filth the second you walk off the plane - but it does have some of our favorite people, and let's be honest, any place in the high 60s is appealing right now!

Day 1: We checked into the hotel. Our room at the Mandalay Bay. It was a pretty great hotel...except that our room shared a door with another room that had occupants the second night and we could hear every word they said (annoying at 7 AM)...that, and it had an amazing pool, but it was all outdoors :(

Later that night met up with some of our best friends, the Dobbs'. We ate at a great place, and then checked out the new area on the strip called The City Center, which actually looks like a bunch of downtown high rises, not Vegas strip hotels. It was kind of nice...almost made us feel like we weren't actually in Vegas.

Day 2: During the day we had brunch and walked the strip, getting some little gifts for our kids. Then after a nice nap, we headed down for dinner and a show.

We weren't able to see Lion King when it came to Spokane last year, so we were excited to find a package deal in Vegas with our hotel room (it actually plays at the Mandalay Bay). It was fantastic and did not disappoint! Highly recommend it!

L-R: Paige, Bryce; Heather, Ryder, Brody, and Tyson Dobbs
Day 3: We checked out of our hotel in the morning, but since our flight didn't leave until that night, we rented a car and drove to the outlets to do a little Christmas shopping. Then we met up with the Dobbs' for dinner  and dessert again, before heading over to the airport to head home.

It was a quick trip - and it sure made us miss the Dobbs' - but we couldn't get back to our kids - and our clean, little Wenatchee - fast enough! We sure missed them! Can't wait to see what our 10 year anniversary brings!!
