CJ's FAVORITE BOOKS

CJ has started to show his personality and independence by showing us what he likes and dislikes, even when it comes to books.

I'm Reverent When is CJ's favorite church book. He loves to lift the flaps, pull the tabs, and turn the wheels. At first, we had to do it all for him, but now he can lift, pull, and turn every inch of the book all by himself. We just hope he's actually getting something out of the pictures and story too :)

For the longest time, What Makes Elmo Happy? was CJ's all-time favorite book. We took it with us everywhere, and he would request it by name - "lello" (Elmo) - before nap time and bedtime. We read it to him so much, we had it memorized!

But lately, Love You Forever has been CJ's favorite book. Whenever it's time to read, this is the book he brings to us. He loves to point out the "bobby" (mommy), "da-dee," "babby" (baby/Mattie), "bah, bah" (balls), and even the "guh,guh" (gum). It's great to see him recognize things and pay attention to a more mature story. And I don't know about you, but the cover sure reminds me of CJ :). Now if they just made it with cardboard pages...

We're so glad CJ loves books! Now, we just hope it sticks with him (especially through high school :)
