Bryce turned 28 on January 5th. It was a Wednesday, so Paige tried to make it not just like any other day, even though Bryce had to go to work and go to mutual. She started the celebration the day before by folding his newspapers for him (unfortunately, she couldn't get out and do the route, so Bryce still had to do that. Bummer.), and then the morning of his birthday, Paige made one of his favorites for breakfast, German Pancakes.
After picking CJ up from school, we all headed over to Bryce's office. To make sure that everyone knew it was Bryce's birthday, we tied balloons to his door and brought birthday cupcakes for him to share
Paige had a surprise planned for Bryce after work, but he was in a meeting and we weren't able to do it. Bryce felt so badly about it that he came home with beautiful flowers for Paige. It was a sweet gesture and a nice way to start dinner. Bryce requested homemade chicken pot pie. It was delicious!
And then we hurried and opened gifts before Bryce had to head off to mutual (Paige wanted everyone at mutual to know it was his birthday too so she made him take brownies that said "Happy B-day Bryce")
After Bryce got back from mutual, we sang "Happy Birthday," he blew out 28 candles, and we had peach cobbler for dessert
(the obligatory picture-with-the-presents photo)
Happy 28th to the best man we know!!
We love you!!

Hey that is really awesome that you got the sound of music. Nathan saw that and immediately broke out in song of Dow a deer a female deer. I'm am just happy to see that there are good men out there who are not afraid to admit to liking the most classic musicals. Good job Bryce, I commend you.
Just think of all that you have accomplished in the last 28 years.
Just think of what you will accomplished in the next 28 years!
You are such a great guy, Bryce.
Love, Mom.
